HANDMADE IN HONG KONG
Handcrafted white Jade necklace with Chinese Bagua (eight symbols). The Bagua or Pa Kua, are eight trigrams used in Daoist cosmology to represent the fundamental principles of reality, seen as a range of eight interrelated concepts. Each consists of three lines, each line either "broken" or "unbroken," respectively representing yin or yang. Due to their tripartite structure, they are often referred to as "trigrams" in English.
The Jade Market Hong Kong is a collection of hundreds of stands selling all kinds of jade, pearls, semi-precious stones, jewelry, carvings and little statues.
Jade has a very special meaning to the Chinese, it is considered a sacred stone that symbolizes purity and morality and stands for beauty and grace. Their appreciation can be compared to the predilection of gold and diamonds in the West.
